Our Process

Stage 1 - Submit your CV

Begin your journey by submitting your CV to us. We will call you for an initial discussion to understand your experience, career aspirations and everything you are seeking in your next role.  We will give you consultative advice on the education market, including the types of opportunities open to you, school settings, locations and pay. We will outline how we can assist you in securing your dream role in education.

Stage 2 - Consultation
Stage 2 will involve a face to face meeting, usually conducted via video, but we are also happy to meet with you in person if you prefer. This will be an opportunity for us to gain a full understanding of your career history, key strengths, experience and motivators, as well as guiding you on what to expect while working in education and during your time with Horizon Teachers. We will officially register you for temporary work during this meeting if this is your preference.
Stage 3 - Clearance
We take the safety and security of students seriously. As part of our thorough recruitment process, we will guide you through the process of obtaining the references we need and background checks, such as DBS Checks. This step ensures that you meet all legal requirements to work in educational settings and is crucial to guaranteeing a safe and responsible educational environment.
Stage 4 - Finding the right role for you
Now that you're cleared to work in a school, it's time for us to finalise the exact roles and schools you would like to be introduced to, arranging trial days and interviews for you. We focus on and understand your career goals, preferences, and strengths as part of the consultation, ensuring we talk to you about roles that really interest and excite you.
Stage 5 - Time to Start!
Congratulations, you're ready to take the next step in your career in education! We'll provide you with all the details you need to start your new role; from in-depth information about the school placement, to support resources and online training if required. As you embark on this adventure, know that our commitment to enhancing children's education goes hand in hand with your professional growth, as we continue to support you on your journey. Welcome to the team!
