Horizon Teachers are now recruiting for a Behaviour Mentor for a long-term position within a long-standing PRU in Haringey. This position is to start in September as has the potential to go temp-to-perm.
What is the role?- In this role as a Behaviour Mentor, you will be supporting children aged 11-18 who have a primary diagnosis of social, emotional, mental health (SEMH).
- Help to re-engage the students through a therapeutic specialism such as art, sports or creative writing.
- Provide both academic and pastoral support and help students on their pathway to returning to mainstream education.
Who are they looking for?- A strong-willed individual who can demonstrate existing experience working with children with more challenging behaviours. This might be in a school setting, or it might be in a care setting. Either way, they want to hear from you!
