Teaching Assistant

£89 - £103.35 per day
Inner London - South East, Inner London
Long term
Start date: July 2025

We're working with a wonderfully inclusive primary school in Lambeth that's looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join them this September. This isn't your average classroom support role it's about building trust, offering steady support, and helping children who need that extra bit of care to thrive.

In this role, you'll be working closely with pupils across KS1 and KS2, providing both 1:1 and small group support. Some children may be facing challenges with behaviour, anxiety, communication, or emotional regulation and you'll be someone who sees beyond the surface, understanding that patience, creativity, and connection can make all the difference.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Supporting children with SEND on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • Helping pupils stay calm, engaged, and included throughout the school day
  • Using flexible, child-led approaches to support learning and well-being
  • Collaborating with teachers and the SENCO to adapt strategies and track progress
  • Being a kind, consistent presence especially when things get tough

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience supporting children with additional needs, ideally in a school setting
  • A calm, compassionate, and solution-focused mindset
  • Someone who can stay positive, think on their feet, and keep moving forward
  • A great listener, team player, and someone who never gives up on a child
  • A genuine passion for making young people feel seen, safe, and supported
