Horizon Teachers is working with a supportive and inclusive primary school in Hounslow that is seeking an experienced and confident SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team in September 2025.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in supporting children with behavioural needs, particularly ADHD, and who has the skills to help pupils regulate their emotions and engage positively with learning.
You will be working across age groups (311), providing 1:1 support to children who may display challenging behaviour and need a calm, consistent adult to help them feel safe and understood.
The School Is Looking For Someone Who:
â?¢ Has solid experience supporting children with behavioural challenges and ADHD
â?¢ Understands how to support emotional regulation and build strong, trusting relationships
â?¢ Is calm, patient, and able to de-escalate difficult situations effectively
â?¢ Can work flexibly across Early Years to Year 6
â?¢ Is confident in working closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and parents
Key Responsibilities:
â?¢ Providing 1:1 behaviour and learning support to pupils with additional needs
â?¢ Supporting pupils aged 311 with emotional and behavioural regulation
â?¢ Assisting in developing and delivering tailored interventions
â?¢ Helping to maintain a calm, structured, and engaging classroom environment
â?¢ Working collaboratively with staff to track and support each child's progress
