Role: SEND Teaching Assistant
Start Date: December 2025
Contract: Full-time, Term-Time Only
Location: Sutton, London
Salary: £500 - £600 per week (dependant on experience)

Key Responsibilities
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting pupils with SEND on a 1:1 basis, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their personal learning goals.
Your key duties will include:

• Providing targeted 1:1 support to a pupil with specific learning or developmental needs.
• Assisting in the delivery of individual education and behaviour plans under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCo.
• Supporting speech and language interventions, fine/gross motor development, or occupational therapy-based activities.
• Encouraging independence, confidence, and engagement in learning.
• Liaising with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure consistent and effective support.
• Contributing to a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.

 
About You
We are looking for a compassionate, patient, and proactive individual who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs. The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience working with SEND pupils, ideally on a 1:1 basis within a school setting.
• Relevant qualifications or training in Speech and Language or Occupational Therapy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A flexible, team-oriented attitude and a genuine commitment to inclusive education.
• The ability to build strong, supportive relationships with pupils and staff.
