The RoleThe school is seeking a dedicated Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join their team from January 2026.
You will play a vital role in supporting learning across the KS2 phase, working closely with the class teacher to help pupils reach their academic and personal goals.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver targeted intervention and comprehension support in small groups and one-to-one settings.
- Assist the class teacher in preparing and delivering engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
- Support pupils with their literacy and numeracy skills, helping to build confidence and understanding.
- Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to learning plans.
- Promote positive behaviour and a nurturing classroom environment that fosters respect and collaboration.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, including assemblies, clubs, and enrichment activities.
About You- Previous experience working with KS2 pupils or within a primary school setting is highly desirable.
- Confident in delivering small-group interventions focused on reading comprehension and core subject support.
- Patient, enthusiastic, and committed to helping every child achieve their best.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
- Reliable, proactive, and organised, with a genuine passion for education and child development.
- A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, Education Studies, or related field) is beneficial but not essential.
