The Role We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team from January 2026. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to support learning, promote pupil progress and contribute to the positive life of the school.
Key Roles & Responsibilities- Support the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons and activities that inspire pupils.
- Work with individuals and small groups, including children with special educational needs or English as an additional language to support their learning and development.
- Help to create and maintain a calm, inclusive, safe and stimulating learning environment.
- Assist with preparing and organising resources, helping with displays, clearing away, setting up learning spaces.
- Contribute positively to pupil behaviour, helping children to develop self-regulation, positive relationships and confidence.
- Participate in whole-school activities, including trips, enrichment sessions and team-meetings, as required.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents and external professionals to support pupilsâ?? social, emotional and academic development.
- Actively engage in your professional development and take opportunities to learn new skills (we believe in supporting staff growth).
About You- You are passionate about working with young children and are committed to helping them succeed.
- You have experience of working in a school or educational setting
- You have good literacy and numeracy skills, and strong communication skills â?? able to talk with children, staff and parents respectfully and clearly.
- You are patient, observant, adaptable and resilient: you thrive as part of a team and can also work with initiative.
- You are eager to learn, open to training and reflective about your practice.
