Roles & Responsibilities- Working closely with class teachers to deliver engaging and effective learning opportunities for pupils aged 4-11
- Adapt support to meet a wide rang of individual learning needs
- Provide targeted support to pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) , including those with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
- Lead and support small-group interventions and one-to-one activities designed to boost progress in literacy, numeracy, communication and social development
- Assist with classroom routines, helping to maintain a positive, well-organised and inclusive learning environment
- Monitor and track pupil progress, behaviour and engagement through regular observation, and feeding back to teachers and the SEND team
- Uphold the schoolâ??s â??can-doâ?? ethos, modelling positive behaviour and attitudes, and helping to foster a safe, respectful and nurturing school culture
About you- Has prior experience working within a classroom setting, demonstrating that you understand the dynamics of classroom teaching
- Has experience working with pupils with SEN/SEND, including supporting pupils with ASD, EHCPS or related learning needs.
- Has a caring, patient and resilient approach with children; someone who sets high expectations, encourages independence and helps pupils to achieve their best
- Will hold, or be willing to obtain, the necessary checks and complete required training as part of joining this school.
