Are you caring, patient and dedicated to helping pupils with special educational needs flourish?

We are seeking a Teaching Assistant to join a specialist provision supporting children & young people aged 5 -19, that have an Education, Health & Care Plan (EHCP) and a primary diagnosis of autism spectrum condition (ASC) or associated traits.

You'll be working in small class groups to make a big difference to the children's education and development.

This role is to start ASAP, and run on a full-time basis until July 2026.

 
What the role involves

  • Working 1:1 and with small groups of pupils (max class sizes approx. six), supporting their learning according to individual needs.
  • Supporting with behaviour management, ensuring safe, calm and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Auditing, recording & monitoring pupil progress and liaising with the SENCO / Phase Leaders.
  • Helping with personal care, sensory regulation, transitions, and communication aids as needed.
  • Assisting in creating a positive, structured environment for pupils to develop independence, confidence and skills.
