A friendly and supportive specialist school in Reigate is seeking a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team. The school caters for children aged 2â??11 with a range of complex learning needs, including Autism Spectrum Conditions, communication difficulties, and developmental delays.
Youâ??ll be joining a collaborative team who are passionate about inclusion, tailored learning, and building strong, trusting relationships with pupils and their families.
This role is to start ASAP, on a full-time basis until July 2026, with the potential for the role to become permanent.
The role:- Supporting pupils with additional needs in the classroom and during wider school activities.
- Working closely with class teachers and therapists to deliver targeted interventions.
- Encouraging pupil engagement and helping to build confidence and independence.
- Assisting with personal care and sensory needs, where required.
- Promoting a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
You will need:- Experience working with children or young people with SEN (ideally in an educational setting).
- A patient, calm, and adaptable approach to supporting individual needs.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional learning needs.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one through Horizon Teachers.
