We are currently working with a welcoming and inclusive two-form entry primary school in Hackney, who are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role will involve providing 1:1 support for a child in Year 3 with Special Educational Needs, helping them to access learning and thrive in the classroom.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable experience in a supportive school environment, or for an experienced Teaching Assistant ready for a new challenge. The role is full-time, term-time only, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

The Role:
  • Providing tailored 1:1 support for a child with SEN in Year 3.
  • Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Supporting pupils in small groups where needed.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour, independence, and engagement in learning.
  • Helping with classroom preparation, organisation, and resources.
  • Contributing to the wider school community and its values.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children, ideally supporting those with SEN.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, flexible approach.
  • A genuine passion for supporting childrenâ??s learning and development.
  • Commitment to creating a positive and nurturing learning environment.
