SEN Teaching Assistant with specific experience supporting students with
dyslexia to join a vibrant, inclusive school in Luton.
About the RoleWe are seeking to appoint a
Learning Support Assistant â?? Dyslexia Specialist to play a critical role in supporting students with dyslexia and specific learning difficulties (SpLD). Working 16 hours per week, you will provide tailored literacy and study-skills support through one-to-one sessions and in-class collaboration.
Key responsibilities include:- Performing dyslexia/SpLD screening and interpreting assessment reports to inform tailored support strategies.
- Delivering focused interventions to boost literacy and study skills across all curriculum areas, either one-to-one or in small groups.
- Monitoring, recording, and reporting on student progress.
- Engaging with parents and guardians to communicate student development.
Ideal candidates: - OCR Level 5 Certificate in Dyslexia/SpLD (or equivalent qualification), or qualified by significant relevant experience.
- Proven track record of working with students with dyslexia or SpLD.
