About the Role Horizon Teachers is working closely with a mainstream primary school that has a dedicated SEMH provision, supporting pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs. The school is seeking a caring and resilient Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team and make a genuine difference to childrenâ??s lives.
Youâ??ll be supporting primary-aged pupils who may present with additional needs such as anxiety, trauma, or behavioural challenges. The role involves building strong, trusting relationships with pupils, helping them to regulate their emotions, and encouraging positive engagement in learning.
The position is full-time, working 6.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday, offering a potential earning of up to
£550 per week. The school provides a nurturing and inclusive environment where wellbeing is at the heart of everything they do. Youâ??ll work alongside a dedicated team committed to helping every child reach their potential.
This is a long-term opportunity with the potential to become permanent for the right person.
Ideal Candidates Will Have:- Experience supporting children with SEMH or behavioural needs (in school or other settings)
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills
