About the Role
Horizon Teachers is working closely with a welcoming and inclusive primary SEN unit in the borough of Merton. The school is seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to support pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference to children who need additional emotional and behavioural support to achieve their potential. Youâ??ll work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide targeted 1:1 and small group interventions, helping pupils develop confidence, resilience, and positive learning habits.
Class sizes are small, with strong adult support and a nurturing atmosphere that promotes progress both academically and personally.
Experience in an SEN or SEMH setting is beneficial, but above all, the school values patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support every childâ??s development.
