Are you passionate about supporting the well-being and development of young people? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pastoral Manager to join a thriving secondary school in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham. This role is crucial in ensuring that students receive the guidance and support they need to succeed both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive pastoral care and support to students across the school.
  • Monitor and manage student behaviour, attendance, and overall well-being.
  • Work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to address any issues affecting students' academic progress and personal development.
  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies and contribute to a positive school culture.
  • Lead and organise initiatives, assemblies, and events that promote students' social and emotional development.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for students, parents, and staff, providing advice and resolving concerns.

What We're Looking For:
  • Experience in a pastoral or student support role, ideally within a secondary school setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • A proactive, empathetic, and solution-focused approach.
