Learning Support Assistant

Horizon Teachers are working with a secondary school based in the Addington area of the London Borough of Croydon who are seeking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant with experience of working with young people. You will join a mainstream school, who have built their formula on high expectations, a relentless focus on standards and the belief that every young child can succeed.

Key responsibilities:

• To develop knowledge and understanding of a range of learning support needs across KS3 and KS4.
• Work on a small group basis with students who have been identified as requiring additional support.
• Establish good relationships with pupils and supporting them to develop their social skills.
• Assist the classroom teachers and SENCO in the development of a suitable programme for pupils who need learning support.

• Flexible, adaptable, and creative and able to respond positively
