KS2 Teaching AssistantLocation: Kingston upon Thames

Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00am – 3:40pm
Pay: £500 – £550 per week
About the SchoolHorizon Teachers are in partnership with an infant school in the Kingston upon Thames area. This school is committed to providing a supportive, engaging, and high-quality learning environment for all pupils. The school has a strong community ethos, supportive leadership, and a dedicated staff team. The KS2 phase is well-resourced, with a clear focus on academic progress, wellbeing, and positive behaviour.
Key Responsibilities- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons across KS2
- Provide targeted support to individual pupils and small groups, including those with additional learning needs
- Assist with classroom preparation, resources, and displays
- Promote positive behaviour and support the school’s behaviour management policies
- Help monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
- Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
- Supervise pupils during lessons, transitions, and activities as required
About You- Previous experience supporting pupils in Key Stage 2 is essential
- A positive, patient, and proactive approach to supporting children’s learning
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
- A good understanding of the KS2 curriculum and classroom routines
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
