Our team is currently supporting a warm and welcoming primary school in Tower Hamlets that is looking to appoint a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant
to join their team shortly after the Easter break.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young children and wants to play a meaningful role in supporting pupils during the most important stage of their early development.
Working within the Early Years setting, you will support the class teacher in delivering engaging learning activities while helping children develop their confidence, communication skills and independence. The role involves both classroom support and small-group or one-to-one work with pupils who may need additional guidance.
You will help to create a safe, stimulating and nurturing learning environment where children feel encouraged to explore, play and learn.
Key Responsibilities:- Supporting the class teacher with day-to-day classroom activities
- Assisting with the delivery of the EYFS curriculum
- Working with small groups or individual pupils to support learning and development
- Encouraging positive behaviour and social interaction
- Helping to prepare learning resources and classroom displays
- Supporting children during play-based learning and structured activites
You will ideally have:- Previous experience working with children in an Early Years or primary school setting
- A good understanding of the EYFS framework
- A caring and proactive approach to supporting young learners
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- A positive and flexible attitude
