Horizon Teachers are currently working with a secondary school in Tower Hamlets to recruit an experienced, practical and reliable caretaker
This role plays a key part in ensuring the school environment is safe, well maintained and welcoming for all visitors
Responsibilities of the caretaker will include but not be limited to - Assisting with changing and moving items such as seating for school productions and assemblies
- Assisting with weekly checks of systems such as fire alarms and raising any challenges to the wider leadership team
- Overseeing contractors and sorting deliveries as and when required
- Monitoring all areas of health and safety compliance
The Ideal candidate must have - Experience in a school based caretaking, facilities or maintenance role
- Practical DIY and basic repair/maintenance schools
- Understanding of health and safety procedures
- The ability to work independently and effectively manage your own time
- Good communication skills with both children and adults
