Horizon Teachers are currently working with a Primary School based in Brent that is seeking a reliable, practical, and conscientious Caretaker to join our friendly school community. This is a key role in ensuring our school environment is safe, secure, clean, and welcoming for pupils, staff, and visitors.
The successful candidate will take pride in maintaining the school site and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the school.
This position is to start as soon as possible on a full-time basis until the end of the academic year.
Responsibilities of the Caretaker will include but not be limited to -- Maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the school buildings and grounds
- Assisting with changing and moving items such as stages and seating for school production set up
- Assisting with weekly checks of systems such as fire alarms and sitting in on Weekly site meetings to flag any challenges
- Using internal systems to manage utilities such as the heating
- Monitoring health and safety across the site and reporting concerns
- Overseeing contractors and deliveries when required
The Ideal Candidate Will Have -- Experience in a caretaking, maintenance, or facilities role (desirable)
- Practical DIY and basic maintenance skills
- A good understanding of health and safety procedures
- The ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- A positive, flexible, and proactive approach
- Good communication skills and a friendly manner with children and adults
