A progressive and inclusive secondary school in Southwark, South-East London is looking to recruit a reliable and caring Teaching Assistant to join their student support team fon a full-time, long-term basis through to the end of the academic year.

This role is ideal for someone who is committed to supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and who is keen to contribute to a school that values high standards, strong pastoral care, and an inclusive learning culture.

The position offers a daily rate of up to £110, depending on experience.

The Role:
  • Provide structured 1:1 and small-group support to students across a range of subjects and key stages
  • Support class teachers in adapting learning tasks to ensure all pupils can access the curriculum
  • Work in partnership with the SENCO and inclusion team to deliver personalised support strategies
  • Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and confidence in learning
  • Help maintain a calm, well-organised, and supportive classroom environment

  • Previous experience working with children or young people, particularly those with SEND or additional needs
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive, respectful relationships
  • A flexible, patient, and proactive approach to supporting learning
