About the Role:As a Supply Teacher, youâ??ll step into classrooms to ensure learning continues seamlessly in the absence of a permanent teacher. Youâ??ll deliver engaging lessons, support student progress, and maintain a safe and positive classroom environment where every learner can thrive.
QTS or equivalent is required!
Main Responsibilities:- Deliver lesson plans and learning materials left by the class teacher, adapting them where necessary to suit student needs
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and school leaders to create a productive and secure environment
- Encourage positive behaviour and active participation during lessons
- Supervise students throughout the school day, including during breaks or lunchtime duties
- Administer and invigilate class assessments or exams when required
- Collect and organise completed student work for the returning teacher
- Communicate effectively with staff and, when appropriate, with parents or carers about student progress or concerns
