We are supporting an Alternative Provision in Hammersmith to recruit a skilled and resilient
SEND Teacher to join them on a long-term or permanent basis. This AP supports pupils who have struggled to engage in mainstream settings and presents a highly nurturing, therapeutic, and behaviour-informed environment.
The leadership team is looking for a teacher who understands the complexities of Alternative Provision and is passionate about helping students re-engage with learning, build confidence, and develop emotional regulation skills.
The Role- Teaching a small class of KS3/KS4 students with a range of additional needs, including SEMH, ASD, and behavioural complexities
- Delivering creative, differentiated lessons that prioritise emotional wellbeing and functional progress
- Working closely with therapists, mentors, and AP support staff
- Maintaining a calm, structured, safe environment where high expectations are paired with strong relational practice
Requirements- QTS or QTLS essential
- Experience working in an AP, PRU, SEMH school, or high-needs SEND environment
- Strong behaviour management and a nurturing, de-escalation-led approach
- Ability to build rapport quickly and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
