Horizon Teachers are seeking a caring, patient, and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with complex needs in a warm, inclusive Primary School starting this January.
This is a wonderful opportunity for someone with experience supporting othersâ??whether in a school, care home, residential setting, or community care roleâ??who is passionate about helping children thrive.

The Role
  • Supporting pupils with complex needs, including Autism, SLCN, PMLD, SLD, medical needs, and behavioural needs
  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support to help children access their learning
  • Assisting with sensory activities, communication strategies, and personalised interventions
  • Building trusting, consistent relationships to support emotional, social, and communication development
  • Creating a calm, encouraging, and inclusive learning environment

  • Experience supporting individuals with additional needs, disabilities, or medical requirements
  • A compassionate, patient and reliable approach
  • Willingness to learn SEN strategies and communication systems 
  • Ability to work as part of a friendly, multidisciplinary team
