Maths Teacher

Horizon Teachers are delighted to be supporting a high-achieving secondary school in Islington, North London, who are seeking a Maths Teacher to join their successful department after the Christmas break. This role is to cover a potential maternity leave and is offered on a long-term basis, with the possibility of running for the full duration of the cover.

This forward-thinking school is looking for a committed and inspiring Maths Teacher who can deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. KS5 experience is welcomed but not essential. You will be joining a supportive, well-structured Mathematics Department known for strong results, excellent teamwork, and a positive approach to professional development.

What the School is Looking For:

• A qualified Maths Teacher with QTS or a PGCE in Mathematics
• Experience teaching Maths to KS4 (KS5 experience is an advantage)
• Strong behaviour management and the ability to build a purposeful learning environment
• Confident lesson planning and the ability to deliver engaging, well-structured sessions
• Genuine passion for Mathematics and helping students achieve their full potential
