About the Role:As a Cover Teacher, youâ??ll play a vital role in maintaining consistency and high standards in the classroom when permanent staff are away. Youâ??ll deliver pre-planned lessons, engage students in their learning, and create a safe and positive environment for all.
QTS or equivalent is required!Key Responsibilities:- Deliver and adapt pre-prepared lesson materials to meet the needs of each class
- Work collaboratively with teachers, teaching assistants, and senior staff to ensure a calm and effective learning environment
- Encourage student participation, motivation, and positive behaviour throughout the school day
- Supervise students during lessons, lunch, and break times when required
- Support the smooth running of assessments, tests, or classroom activities
- Collect completed work and provide clear feedback for the returning teacher
- Communicate professionally with staff and, where necessary, with parents or carers regarding pupil progress or concerns
