Hello, I’m Nancy, a Director and Joint Founding Partner of Horizon Teachers.

Matt and I launched Horizon Teachers in 2008 and what an amazing journey we have been on since that moment.  

Our focus from the outset was to build a values-led business that operated out of the very core of who we are and what we believe in; extending transparency, integrity, a collaborative, positive mindset and a willingness to continually strive to do our best for all our business partners, including our team, our teachers, support staff and schools.  I am very proud to see how far we have come in achieving this, alongside the incredible, ever growing team we have in place, with all committed to the same goal.

I realise I may be a tad biased, but I truly believe that our team's passion and dedication to operate in the best interests of all those we represent is what sets us apart in a hugely overcrowded market.  We are all driven by a commitment to raise standards within schools, to ensure all children receive the best education possible.
 

My background prior to launching Horizon Teachers was 10 years in sales, with much of that time spent within the UK fashion industry.  I entered recruitment back in 2001 after taking a year off following the birth of my daughter.  I joined a start up Recruitment to Recruitment business and after 2 years I launched my own Recruitment to Recruitment company, which I ran for 13 years.  

I have over 22 years’ experience in sourcing great talent for the recruitment industry and strategically building successful recruitment teams, but nothing brings me more joy than watching the Horizon Teachers Team continue to flourish and grow!

In my spare time, I am quite active and love to be outdoors.  I am an avid skier, despite suffering in the cold …  heated ski boots are a game changer, thankfully!  I love a mountain hike and have reached the summit of the 3 Peaks, albeit not in a 24-hour period! On fair weather days you can find me pootling to and from work on my Mary Poppins bicycle, slowing down the cycle lanes between Battersea and the City, much to the annoyance of the Lycra-clad speed cycle crew!
