A high-performing, purpose-built secondary setting in Fulham is seeking an outstanding Vice Principal (Teaching & Learning) to join its senior leadership team on a permanent basis from September.
This is a pivotal leadership role, suited to an exceptional practitioner with a proven track record of driving teaching and learning, raising standards, and securing strong outcomes for students—particularly within a specialist setting supporting learners with SEN/SEMH needs. The successful candidate will combine strategic vision with uncompromising attention to classroom practice.
The Role- Leading whole-school strategy for Teaching & Learning, ensuring consistently high standards across all subjects
- Driving improvements in pedagogy, curriculum design, and assessment
- Coaching and developing staff at all levels, embedding a culture of high expectations and continuous professional growth
- Monitoring the quality of teaching through observations, feedback, and data analysis, ensuring rapid and sustained improvement
- Working closely with pastoral and inclusion teams to ensure teaching approaches meet the needs of all learners
- Contributing to wider school leadership, including behaviour, attendance, and safeguarding priorities
The Ideal Candidate- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with substantial senior leadership experience
- Has a strong, evidenced track record of improving teaching quality and student outcomes
- Brings deep understanding of effective practice within SEN/SEMH settings
- Is an exceptional instructional leader with credibility in the classroom
- Demonstrates strategic clarity alongside strong operational delivery
- Has the presence, resilience, and emotional intelligence to lead in a complex, high-impact environment
