KS2 Teaching Assistant

Salary: £525–£560 per week (dependent on experience)
This rewarding role involves delivering targeted interventions to small groups of up to five pupils, supporting their progress in reading, writing, and comprehension. You will work with children across a range of abilities, adapting your approach to meet individual learning needs and helping pupils develop confidence and achieve their academic goals.

The Role

  • Deliver engaging small-group interventions in reading, writing, and comprehension.
  • Support pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
  • Adapt learning activities to meet the needs of children working at different attainment levels.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to class teachers.
  • Encourage confidence, independence, and a positive attitude towards learning.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and the wider school team to ensure pupils receive the support they need.
 
The Ideal Candidate
  • Has experience working with primary-aged children across KS1 and KS2.
  • Has experience delivering interventions or providing targeted academic support.
  • Is confident supporting children with a range of learning abilities and needs.
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Is patient, proactive, and committed to helping every child succeed.
