We are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Hillingdon that is committed to ensuring every child reaches their full potential. The school provides a nurturing and supportive learning environment where pupils are encouraged to develop academically, socially and emotionally.
 
Staff work collaboratively to deliver high-quality teaching and tailored support, creating a positive atmosphere where every child feels valued and included.
 
Main Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), within a mainstream classroom.
  • Support the pupil's learning, communication, emotional regulation and social development throughout the school day.
  • Adapt learning activities to meet the pupil's individual needs under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO.
  • Encourage independence while providing appropriate support to help the pupil engage with lessons and classroom routines.
  • Use positive behaviour management strategies to promote engagement and wellbeing.
  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and external professionals to implement personalised support plans.
About You
  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN, particularly Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), in a primary school or similar setting.
  • A calm, nurturing and adaptable approach to supporting children's individual needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • An understanding of inclusive practice and a commitment to helping every child succeed.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive school team.
  • A genuine passion for making a positive difference to children's learning, confidence and wellbeing.
