Experienced SEND Teaching Assistant – Autism Resource Provision (ARP)

Horizon Teachers are working with a highly regarded primary school to recruit a dedicated and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join their Autism Resource Provision (ARP).

The ARP provides specialist support for pupils with Autism and is well-integrated within the wider school community, creating an inclusive and collaborative environment for both pupils and staff.
The Role
- Supporting pupils with Autism within a specialist ARP setting
- Delivering tailored interventions and supporting individual EHCP targets
- Encouraging communication, social development and emotional regulation
- Working closely with class teachers, SEN professionals and families
- Helping to create a safe, engaging and positive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate
- At least 6 months' experience working in a SEND, ARP, specialist provision or similar setting
- Experience supporting children with Autism and additional needs
- A calm, patient and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children with SEND
