Contract: Fixed-term / Term-time only
Hours: 8:30am – 4:00pm
Salary: £93 to £110 per day
Start Date: September 2026
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Kingston upon Thames is seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the life of a child with Special Educational Needs. The successful candidate will provide tailored support to help a pupil access learning, develop confidence, and thrive both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities- Provide consistent and effective 1:1 support for a pupil with identified SEND needs.
- Support learning within the classroom and during wider school activities.
- Implement strategies and interventions under the guidance of the class teacher and SENDCo.
- Promote independence, engagement and positive behaviour.
- Build a trusting and supportive relationship with the pupil.
- Work collaboratively with school staff, parents and external professionals
The Ideal Candidate Will:- Have experience working with children, particularly those with SEND.
- Demonstrate patience, empathy and resilience.
- Be proactive, flexible and able to adapt to the needs of the child.
- Possess strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Be committed to creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
- Have a genuine passion for supporting children's development and wellbeing
