SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Greenwich for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity starting from September.

The Role:
  • Support pupils with Special Educational Needs across KS1 and KS2
  • Work 1:1 and in small groups, supporting learning and development
  • Assist the class teacher with delivering tailored lessons and interventions
  • Support pupils with needs such as Autism, ADHD, and communication difficulties
  • Help manage behaviour and promote a positive, structured learning environment
  • Contribute to EHCP targets, progress tracking, and daily observations
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Experience working with children with SEN 
  • Confident supporting pupils with Autism and additional needs
  • Patient, calm, and consistent in approach to behaviour management
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Knowledge of strategies such as PECS or similar communication tools is desirable
