We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming secondary SEND setting based in Richmond, from September 2026 for the full academic year on a full-time basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a specialist environment that supports students with Autism and a range of learning difficulties. The school is committed to providing a nurturing, structured and engaging environment where every student is encouraged and supported to achieve their full potential.
This Teaching Assistant role will include –- Assisting students with Autism and additional learning needs within the classroom environment.
- Working on a one-to-one basis and with small groups to support learning and engagement.
- Helping to implement individual learning strategies and support plans.
- Supporting positive behaviour and promoting emotional wellbeing.
The idea candidate will have –- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND, Autism or additional learning needs.
- The ability to remain calm and adaptable within different situations.
- A genuine passion for supporting young people and helping them succeed.
- A patient, empathetic and positive approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
