We are seeking a compassionate, resilient, and committed Teaching Assistant with experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs to join a welcoming primary school in Brent.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about inclusive education and has experience supporting children with additional needs such as ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, or social, emotional, and mental health needs.
You will play a vital role in ensuring every child is supported, engaged, and able to thrive both academically and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised learning plans
  • Support children with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, and communication difficulties
  • Use tailored strategies to promote engagement, independence, and positive behaviour
  • Assist in creating an inclusive, safe, and structured learning environment
  • Support pupils’ social and emotional development
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers and staff
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience working with children with SEN in a school or similar setting
  • Understanding of strategies to support ASD, ADHD, and SEMH needs
  • A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with pupils
  • A proactive and flexible mindset
