This Outstanding-rated school supports children aged 2–11 with severe physical disabilities, communication and learning difficulties, Autism and complex medical needs. Known for its nurturing atmosphere, ambitious curriculum and expert staff, the school has been recognised by Ofsted for helping pupils “thrive” and achieve “exceptionally well.”
Working as part of a highly supportive multidisciplinary team, you’ll play a vital role in helping pupils access learning, communication and everyday school life with confidence.
The RoleAs a Special School Support Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils with a wide range of additional and complex needs
- Work closely with teachers, therapists and support staff across the school
- Assist with learning, communication and therapy-based activities
- Provide personal care support including feeding, toileting and some medical procedures
- Help create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment
- Use IT systems and communication platforms to support learning and school communication
Successful candidates will initially have the opportunity to specialise within one curriculum pathway:

- Semi-Formal
- Formal
