SEN Teaching Assistant
Esher, Surrey
Full-Time | Term-Time Only| ASAP or After May Half Term Start (with potential roll over to September)
£95–£115 per day

We’re working with a welcoming and well-regarded primary school in Esher that is looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.
This is a school that genuinely values its support staff. The leadership team is approachable, organised, and supportive, and there’s a strong sense of teamwork across the school. Staff stay here because they feel appreciated, trusted, and part of something positive.
The role will involve supporting children with additional needs across KS1 and KS2, both within the classroom and through small group or 1:1 support. The school is looking for someone calm, patient, and proactive, someone who enjoys building relationships with children and takes pride in helping them grow in confidence.
You do not need years of school experience to be considered. What matters most is the right attitude, strong communication skills, and a genuine interest in supporting children with SEN.
The school itself is in a lovely part of Esher with green outdoor spaces nearby and a friendly community feel. It’s easily accessible with good public transport links.

This opportunity would suit:
  • Experienced SEN Teaching Assistants
  • Graduates considering a career in education or psychology
  • Support workers or care professionals looking to move into schools
  • Anyone with a naturally patient and encouraging approach
The school can offer:
  • A supportive and experienced SEN team
  • Excellent training and ongoing guidance
  • A positive and settled school environment
  • Well-behaved pupils and engaged families
  • The opportunity to make a genuine difference every day
