Teaching Assistant – Primary School Full-time | Long-term | Immediate or After May Half Term startWe are working with a well-regarded, welcoming primary school in Brent to appoint a Teaching Assistant who can make a genuine difference in the classroom.
The school sits in a well-connected part of North West London, within easy reach of the Jubilee, Bakerloo and Overground lines, as well as several reliable bus routes. Staff often comment on how straightforward the commute is from across London. The school itself is known locally for its calm, purposeful atmosphere, strong leadership, and a team that looks out for one another. Behaviour is well managed, expectations are clear, and support staff are treated as a valued part of the wider team.
This role would suit someone who takes pride in doing the job properly—someone who is dependable, switched on, and comfortable working with children across KS1 or KS2.
The role:- Supporting pupils in class, both in groups and on a 1:1 basis
- Working closely with the class teacher to deliver lessons and keep pupils engaged
- Helping to maintain a positive, structured learning environment
- Providing additional support to pupils who need it, including those with mild SEN
The school is looking for someone who:- Has prior experience working with children
- Communicates clearly and builds good relationships with pupils and staff
- Is proactive and able to use their initiative when needed
- Is reliable and takes a consistent approach to behaviour and expectations
