Year 6 Teaching Assistant – Wandsworth | Immediate StartOur agency is currently working with a fantastic primary school in Wandsworth that is looking to welcome a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 6 Teaching Assistant to their team. The role:You will be supporting a Year 6 class in the lead up to SATs and the transition to secondary school. The successful candidate will work alongside an experienced class teacher, supporting pupils in small groups and one-to-one, helping to build confidence in core subjects and keeping pupils engaged in lessons.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting the class teacher with daily learning activities
- Working with small groups in English and Maths
- Providing targeted support for pupils who need extra help
- Helping pupils stay focused and confident during lessons
- Assisting with classroom organisation and preparation of resources
The school is looking for someone who:- Has experience working with primary-aged children
- Is patient, positive and able to build strong relationships with pupils
- Can support learning in English and Maths with confidence
- Is reliable, proactive and enjoys being part of a team
