A friendly and inclusive secondary school in Redbridge, East London is looking to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join its student support team from after the February half term until the end of the academic year, on a full-time, long-term basis.
This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about working with young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and eager to contribute to a school environment that balances strong academic expectations with a caring and inclusive culture.
The position offers a competitive daily pay rate of up to £110, dependent on experience.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver targeted 1:1 and small group support to students across different subjects and year groups
- Assist teachers in modifying lesson materials to ensure all students can access learning effectively
- Work closely with the SENCO and wider inclusion team to implement and monitor personalised support strategies
- Encourage student independence, confidence, and engagement in learning
- Help maintain a positive, organised, and supportive classroom atmosphere
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:- Previous experience working with children or young people, especially those with additional needs or SEND
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A calm, flexible, and proactive approach to supporting students
- A strong commitment to inclusive practice and student wellbeing
