About the SchoolHorizon Teachers are in partnership with an inclusive primary school in the heart of Sutton, committed to providing a nurturing, engaging, and high-quality education for all our pupils.
The school operates across two sites, with our Infant and Junior provisions working closely together to ensure a smooth and supportive transition for pupils. We pride ourselves on strong relationships with pupils, families, and staff, and we are passionate about creating a positive learning environment where children feel safe and motivated to learn.
Key Roles and ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a dedicated and flexible KS2 Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will:
- Support teaching and learning across Key Stage 2, working within multiple year groups as required
- Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups of pupils, including delivering planned interventions
- Adapt support to meet the varying needs of different pupils, including those with additional needs
- Work collaboratively with class teachers, SEN staff, and other professionals to support pupil progress
- Assist with classroom preparation, behaviour support, and the creation of a positive learning environment
- Travel to the Infant site each morning to support pupils by safely walking them to the Junior site
- Build positive relationships with pupils to support their emotional, social, and academic development
- Uphold safeguarding procedures and promote the welfare of all children at all times
About YouWe are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with primary-aged children, ideally within KS2
- Is adaptable, proactive, and confident working across different year groups
- Has strong communication and teamwork skills
- Is patient, caring, and committed to supporting children with a range of needs
- Is able to deliver structured interventions effectively, following guidance from teaching staff
- Is reliable, organised, and able to manage transitions between sites and responsibilities
- Shares our commitment to inclusion, high standards, and pupil wellbeing
