The Role
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to support learning across the curriculum, helping pupils to thrive both academically and socially.
 
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality teaching and learning
  • Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and support progress
  • Provide targeted support for pupils with additional needs, including SEND and EAL
  • Promote positive behaviour and support pupils’ emotional and social development
  • Assist with the preparation of learning resources and classroom organisation
  • Supervise pupils during lessons, interventions, and non-classroom activities
  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff and external professionals
  • Uphold the school’s safeguarding policies and procedures at all times
 
About You
We are looking for someone who:
  • Has previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school
  • Has a good understanding of the primary curriculum
  • Is confident supporting pupils across a range of abilities
  • Has experience supporting children with SEND and/or EAL (desirable)
  • Is patient, caring and enthusiastic, with a positive attitude
  • Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively with staff and pupils
  • Is committed to inclusion, equality and high expectations for all children
