Key Responsibilities

• Provide targeted support for pupils in Year 3 with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
• Support pupils with academic learning, including literacy, numeracy and access to the wider curriculum
• Promote and support emotional regulation, using agreed strategies and interventions
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to implement individual support plans
• Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, adapting learning as needed
• Foster positive behaviour, independence and self-confidence
• Build strong, nurturing relationships with pupils to support engagement and wellbeing
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive and supportive classroom environment

About You

• Experience working with children with SEND, particularly those with EHCPs (essential)
• A calm, patient and empathetic approach, with a strong understanding of emotional regulation and behaviour support
• Ability to support learning effectively across the primary curriculum
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• A commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and promoting positive outcomes for all pupils
• Relevant qualifications or training in education, SEND, or child development are desirable
