The Role

We are seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic and skilled EYFS Teaching Assistant with a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum to join our Early Years team. You will work closely with teachers to support children’s learning, development and well-being, ensuring every child feels safe, engaged and inspired to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties will include:
  • Assist with the delivery of high-quality EYFS learning activities that reflect the EYFS curriculum goals.
  • Support children’s literacy, numeracy, communication and physical development through targeted activities.
  • Work 1:1 and with small groups to support learning and participation.
  • Encourage positive behaviour, social skills and confidence in all children.
  • Support children’s emotional well-being and independence in the classroom and outdoor areas.
  • Assist with preparing and organising resources that create a stimulating and welcoming learning environment.
  • Help monitor children’s progress and contribute observations to inform future planning.
  • Uphold the school’s safeguarding, pastoral and behaviour policies at all times.
  • Work closely with class teachers, the EYFS lead and support staff to ensure continuity and quality of provision.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and carers to support learning at school and home.
