Horizon Teachers is seeking a dedicated and passionate
Early Years Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils in a nurturing school environment. This role involves working closely with children who have
SEND, including
Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and
complex needs.

Key responsibilities- Provide tailored support to children aged 3â??5, both individually and in small groups.
- Assist pupils with SEND, particularly those with ASC and complex learning needs.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and parents to support pupil development.
What weâ??re looking for- Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Teaching Assistance (or equivalent).
- Experience working in a school or nursery setting with children aged 3â??5.
- Strong understanding of child development and early years education.
- Patience, flexibility, and confidence in supporting children of varying abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
- Previous experience in a SEND or SEN setting is essential.
- Knowledge of how SEND conditions affect learning and behaviour.
- Ability to support pupils with communication and/or physical needs.
