We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEND teaching assistant to join a vibrant SEND school in Greenwich. This role will involve supporting students with Autism Spectrum Condition, ADHD, PMLD and/or SLCD, ensuring they can fully engage with their learning and social development. You may be supporting primary or secondary aged students, as the school caters for both. 
 
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to children with SEND, either 1:1 or in small groups.
- Work alongside class teachers and SEND staff to adapt lessons and resources to meet individual needs.
- Implement behaviour management strategies and promote positive social interactions.
- Assist with daily routines, sensory activities, and interventions designed to support the development of children with ASD.
- Monitor and report on progress, working closely with the SEND team to identify and address challenges.
- Foster a supportive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for all students.
 
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience supporting children with SEND, preferably in a specialist setting.
- Knowledge of Autism-friendly strategies, sensory needs, and behaviour management approaches.
- A calm, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting children with additional needs.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with staff, families, and external professionals.
- Relevant qualifications such as Level 2 or Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (desirable but not essential).
- A genuine passion for helping children with SEND achieve their full potential.
