Are you a dedicated and passionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher looking for an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of secondary school students? We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join a Pupil Referral Unit in Haringey, London. This is a rewarding and challenging role that will allow you to make a real difference in the lives of young people who need it most.
Key Responsibilities:- Create and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to meet the diverse needs of students with special educational needs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages personal and academic growth.
- Collaborate with a team of support staff, therapists, and specialists to provide holistic support for students.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on student progress.
- Implement behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques.
- Attend meetings with parents, guardians, and other relevant stakeholders to provide updates on student progress.
Qualifications and Experience:- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching in a secondary school setting.
- Strong understanding of special educational needs and the ability to adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to build strong relationships with students.
- Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, and legislation related to special education.
- Experience working in a PRU or alternative provision setting (desirable but not essential).
