Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) Location: NW2, London
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming primary school in Brent from September 2026.
The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to support pupils with additional needs, helping them to access learning, develop confidence, and thrive within the school environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs
- Support children with ASD (autism spectrum disorder) and ADHD
- Implement effective behaviour management strategies in line with school policies
- Help create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
- Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals where required
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:- Previous experience supporting children with SEN within a primary school setting
- Experience working with pupils with ASD and ADHD
- Strong behaviour management skills
- A calm, patient, and proactive approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children to reach their full potential
