We are seeking a caring, dedicated, and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Kingston. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children with Special Educational Needs and help them achieve their full potential in a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language, and social-emotional needs.
  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Adapt learning activities to meet individual student needs.
  • Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, and independence.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Assist with personal care where required.
  • Help create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally within a school or childcare setting.
  • A patient, calm, and compassionate approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to support children with varying learning and behavioural needs.
  • A passion for education and helping children succeed.
  • Relevant qualifications or SEN experience desirable but not essential.
