We are seeking a caring, dedicated, and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Kingston. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children with Special Educational Needs and help them achieve their full potential in a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language, and social-emotional needs.
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
- Adapt learning activities to meet individual student needs.
- Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, and independence.
- Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
- Assist with personal care where required.
- Help create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment.
Requirements:- Experience working with children or young people, ideally within a school or childcare setting.
- A patient, calm, and compassionate approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to support children with varying learning and behavioural needs.
- A passion for education and helping children succeed.
- Relevant qualifications or SEN experience desirable but not essential.
