Main Duties- Provide tailored support to pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
- Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small group interventions
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
- Adapt learning activities to meet individual pupil needs
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Support pupils with communication, social interaction and independence skills
- Monitor and record pupil progress and provide feedback to staff
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents and external agencies
- Help create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment
- Uphold safeguarding policies and promote the welfare of all children
About You- Has experience working with children with SEND, ideally within a primary school setting
- Is patient, caring and empathetic
- Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
- Is adaptable and able to respond to individual pupil needs
- Demonstrates a proactive and positive attitude
- Works effectively as part of a team
- Has a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
- Understands the importance of safeguarding and child protection
