Salary: £520 - £550 per week

Main Duties

• Provide tailored support to pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
• Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small group interventions
• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
• Adapt learning activities to meet individual pupil needs
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
• Support pupils with communication, social interaction and independence skills
• Monitor and record pupil progress and provide feedback to staff
• Work collaboratively with teachers, parents and external agencies
• Help create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment
• Uphold safeguarding policies and promote the welfare of all children

 
About You

• Has experience working with children with SEND, ideally within a primary school setting
• Is patient, caring and empathetic
• Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
• Is adaptable and able to respond to individual pupil needs
• Demonstrates a proactive and positive attitude
• Works effectively as part of a team
• Has a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
• Understands the importance of safeguarding and child protection
